I love this TV I searched and researched a lot of TVs and found this TV to be the best and BIGGGGEEEST for the price. When it arrived I hooked it up quickly to my PS3 and Wii (I have also hooked up my iPhone and it displays video content just great) the picture quality was even better that I could hope for. the only down side to this TV is the sound quality (at least in my big family room) but no problem because I have an external sound source hooked up suppling crisp surround sound anyway!
Bottom line…dont think twice about getting this tv just get it!

Mitsubishi Diamond Series WD-65835 65-Inch 1080p DLP HDTV (Glossy Black) Reviews:
I just purchased this TV to replace a 56″ first generation, HD-ready rear projection TV from Toshiba. It took some convincing to get my better half to agree to replace a working TV – especially since it was already a 1080i set – but now that we have the new set she’s as blown away by the picture as I am.
Right out of the box, the picture is stunning. After it’s properly set up, it’s darned near reference quality.
The set has ample controls that allow you to calibrate the set well beyond the standard controls available on most sets. (I use Digital Video Essentials on Blu-ray to make adjustments… Highly recommended.) The set has inky blacks; vibrant, natural colors; and a razor sharp picture. It makes me want to re-watch all of my Blu-ray disks. Be aware though that when it comes to SDTV, bigger is definitely not better. That’s not a knock against this set as SD looks lousy on all big screens. If you’re just getting into big screen TVs, make sure you have high-definition sources. Otherwise, you might well be disappointed.
I also appreciate that the set has discrete IR codes for each of the inputs. It’s makes the set easy to control with my Logitech Harmony universal remote. I can’t comment on the sound though as I run all my audio through a high-end receiver but given the overall quality of the set, I’m surprised that other reviewers have given such low marks.

I bought this to replace a Hitachi 57″ HDCRT that was past its prime, and from the moment I turned it on I knew I made the right choice. Out of the box the setting had to be tweaked a bit due to the blinding brightness that they have it tuned on from the factory, but after a few changes the picture was superb.

I just upgraded from a 1 year old 65 lamp projection HD set from Hitachi (which was great for a lamp projection) and was blown away! HD DVDs and Blu-Ray takes on a whole new world with this set – and was a STEAL for the price! Takes up much less space and along with the stand (I purchased this also) fits perfect with tons of space for the players and more.

PRO’s: The Price.
As compared to an LCD or Plasma TV, for the amount of *viewing* real estate at 60″ the DLP at 1080P resolution is hard ot beat, price-wise.
Purchased for $1399 with 3 years interest free from CC. I noticed it lower to $1299 for cash.
An equivalent LCD or Plasma whould have cost me $2500.
This is my first experience with DLP and so far I have no regrets (knock-on-wood). The unit weight is light enough for the wife to help you set it up.
The resolution and color is easily configured to your liking and hooking up to DirectTV HD is a joy to watch that you can’t go back to standard definition.

I looked at big screen TV’s for over a year. I researched big screens endlessly include many, many hours on the AVS forum. I looked at hundreds of tv’s at several different showrooms over the course of one year. I looked at LCD’s, plasma, DLP’s. I waited for the release of the laser Mitsubishi models, to read actual reviews by real people. We purchased this TV about a month ago.
In brief, this TV is the best that you can buy. The colors are accurate and vivid. The blacks are strikingly black, with details in the black areas due to the newer dark chip in the set. Whites are pure without a tinge of any color. We have the tv in a very bright room with in essence a wall of glass windows and doors. Even with all of the ambient lighting the tv is bright in the daylight.

Just bought a 73″ 737series a couple of weeks ago. Was considering 65″ but went with the 73″ – GREAT Decision. The picture is fantastic – even my wife who isn’t into TV very much thinks it is great. The price of the replacement lamp is not significant every 2 – 3 years when you consider the quality and price of this TV. If you have the room for it I highly recomend this TV – Great value.
The picture is amazing on HD! I have DirecTV with HD and am just blown away. SD channels are fine, but when stretched are noticeably ‘fuzzy’. This is not a TV issue though, I’ve seen the same on my 42″ HD. It just becomes much more apparent at 73″. I like the different adjustments for each input, it’s come in handy. I don’t use the speakers, but did try them out and they were adequate (who would buy this TV without a home theater sound system?).

My WD 55589 had the dreaded blinking green light. I tried fixing it, but NO go. Long Story short I called Mitsubishi and they gave me an in store credit for $925 for a like TV. The 65737 was the closest model so I went back to my original place of purchase and I got the Mitsubishi WD-65737 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV on sale at Ultimate Electronics for $1,083.74 (including tax). With my $925 credit I ended up paying $158.74 for a new 60″ 1080P TV that replaced a 55″ 1080i 7 year old TV.
First let me say I cannot express how good Mitsubishi was to me. Sure I bought the extended warranty, but if was five years and I was two years outside of the warranty. They didn’t have to do anything, but did. This in its self bumps Mitsubishi up to five stars in customer service! The only drawback was I had to take my old TV to the store to receive my $925 credit. Getting a 300+ pound TV to the store in the rain was no easy task, but alas I did it.

Mitsubishi WD-60737 60-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV Reviews:
I’ve had this TV for about a month now and it is very nice. The HD channels are terrific. The TV is super light, especially for the size of it. I was a Vizio guy (getting the most out of my dollar) but I have to say Mitsubushi DLP technology has me considering putting my Vizios on EBAY. There are two things to consider:
1) The sound is not that of excellent quality however i tried my HD sound receiver and it works great.
2) There are slight delays when turning on the TV, changing the channel and volume controls (nothing too drastic about 2 second delays)whenever you havent used those controls for a while (sort of like the TV goes into a stand-by mode). Dont know if that common with DLPs.
